New permission forms for the weight room have been emailed to students now that new regulations have been released. Students will need to return this form signed before they are allowed to workout in the school.

Summer weights is allowed to begin June 1! All JH and HS students were emailed information and a permission slip. Permission slips must be signed before they are allowed to workout at school. Check emails, and contact Mr. Miller with any questions.

The Wallace Elementary teachers met with ESU 16 to continue working on new Standards Based Report Cards (SBR). Standards Based Report Cards will provide specific feedback to parents and students towards progress on the grade level Nebraska State Standards. Look for more information in the newsletter this summer and for the new report cards to be implemented next year.

Matthew Lungrin, Jesus Gomez and Jason Fisher were selected to sing in the Singing Youth State Honor Choir. The event was hosted in North Platte. 7th, 8th and 9th graders from all over the state were represented in the choir that was directed by the nationally known, Dr. Derrick Fox from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Tonight’s games will be on Paxton’s striv, and will be aired on 93.5 and 103.5.

I have been asked about whether or not bikes will be allowed at the fall festival 5K. Anyone sixth grade and younger may pay the $25 registration fee to ride your bike in the race. However bike riders will not be eligible for any of the prizes!

Junior Class Silent Auction!
The Junior Class will be auctioning off Team Sports banners from the 2018-2019 School year during Honor's Night Monday April 29th. Each athletic team is featured on a vinyl banner, with their team picture and each team member along with coaches have signed the banners. The banners would make a great addition to any Senior Graduation Party! Bidding will start at $40 per banner. Don't forget to bring your $$ and checkbooks to Monday's Honor's Night! The April Board of Education meeting scheduled for tonight has been postponed to Monday, April 15, 2019 at 8:00 p.m. in the Wallace School conference room.
