Field Trip Fun! Our 3rd, 4th & 5th graders had a great day exploring Kingsley Dam and Ash Hollow! Students learned about water resources, Nebraska’s natural environment, and the history of the Oregon Trail. What a fun day of learning beyond the classroom!

3rd graders enjoyed their field trip with 4th and 5th to the Kingsley Dam, Ash Hallow, and reenactments.

Freshman students have busy for the past week 1.5 learning to identify lab equipment, the purpose, and Lab safety rules. Finally, measuring various objects in the lab and using the metric system. Fun group to build relationships with too. It's going to be a fun year.

Third graded ended their classical tales unit with a tea party!

Biology students investigating adhesion, cohesion, and surface tension during a hands on lab using a Penny, water, and soap.

Chemistry student's conducting a lab using 3 different types of popcorn. Goal: find the percentage of water in each type after popping them in beakers and on hot plates. Required measuring mass and calculating. Busy all hour. So fun to watch.

Advanced biology students looking at their hand sanitizer vs soap Petri dish bacteria growth. Making observations and collecting data. Hands prior to cleaning were pretty nasty. So remember friends. Please wash your hands.

Biology students project: building a water tower. There was a budget to follow, buy materials, and construct on a time limit. Students used their engineering skills, teamwork, and critical thinking skills to finish this project on time and budget. Final test did they hold the 100 gallons of water aka 100 Pennies. Ask them and find out. Fun times
